This morning at 7:00 am it must have been 80 degrees. It is 4:55 pm and a sweltering 99 degrees in the 'burbs. The lawn is very dry, but I will only water the flowers. This too shall pass, but in the meantime, a glass of iced water,a good book and a favorite chair, really hits the spot. I am reading Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. What a page turner.
